Passport with 94 upgraded security features

Besides having a new look, upcoming Malaysians passports will come with significantly strengthened security features as part of the government’s efforts to enhance national identification.

The upgraded version will come equipped with 94 security features, double the number of the current passport, to ensure tougher safety measures. These features include enhanced holograms, ultraviolet printing, hidden visual elements, and additional anti-forgery features.

Upgraded Malaysian passports to roll out in phases in July

While there has been no confirmed date for Malaysians to apply for the upgraded passports, or when Malaysians can apply for a 10-year validity passport, it’s certainly something to look forward to for future travels.
