Karaoke places in & near Kuala Lumpur
We can’t pass up a good karaoke sesh with our friends. If we’re not melting our stress away by jamming out to our favourite songs, we get to be singers for a moment even if we don’t have the vocal prowess of Harry Styles or Ariana Grande. Yet, unleashing our inner superstar doesn’t have to mean overspending on a night out – there are affordable karaoke places in and near KL with rates from RM9/hour.
We’ve rounded them up below, with some of them having added perks such as free-flow drinks and student discounts.

As it turns out, A Quiet Place is not so quiet after all.

There are six different Loud Speaker 2.0 rooms to choose from, depending on your group size. The smallest Audition room, for starters, accommodates between 4-6 individuals, while their largest Festival room is able to fit 20-40 people at once.
Rates begin at RM40/hour for the Audition room. To make the most of this room, you’ll want to call up to six friends for a round of karaoke, as it works out to be around RM6/hour for a group of six opting to split the bill.
For a little challenge, dare yourself and your friends to perform at the open mic-style Getai. This old Shanghai-inspired room doesn’t only serve as a dining bar, it also features a red-carpeted stage with a mic stand where you can truly show off your vocal skills to a seated audience.
If you’re looking to squeeze in a quick karaoke session instead, book one of A Quiet Place’s Muji-style Mini Studios. These rooms’ rates start from as low as RM10 for 30 minutes, and RM15 for an hour.
