BookFest 2025 at KLCC
Bookworms, mark your calendars – POPULAR’s mega BookFest is returning to KL from 29th March to 6th April 2025. The upcoming festival features five halls showcasing a smorgasbord of books, stationery, and gadgets from local and international exhibitors.
The 9-day book festival will be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), under the theme Gateway to Knowledge. Here’s what you can expect.
What is BookFest?
BookFest is an annual book exposition organised by POPULAR bookstore, which has been a staple in local bookworms’ calendars since its inception in 2006. This year, it returns to KLCC for 9 days, opening from 10am to 10pm. It’ll cover an impressive 100,000sqft area at the convention centre, with everything from books to gadgets to shop for.

Halls 1 and 2 will feature Chinese and assessment books, gadgets, and IT products, while Halls 4 and 5 are where you can browse English books, stationery, CDs, DVDs, and snacks.
More than just a regular book fair, there’ll be author meet-and-greets, book signings, and insightful talks from industry experts. Adding to the fun are competitions such as children’s choir, colouring contests, anime and comic cosplay, and live cooking demonstrations.
Deals on books and more
You can expect more attractive deals than on your regular POPULAR bookstore visit.
