10 Cheap Dim Sum Buffets In Kuala Lumpur To Enjoy From RM28/pax

Dim sum buffets in Klang Valley

Dim sum is synonymous with bite-sized morsels served in bamboo steamers and side plates. It’s a great choice for gatherings of any size because everyone orders to share, and there’re so many options available – siew mai, har gao, salted egg custard buns, char siew buns and more – that even the pickiest eater can find something that they like.

But if you tend to over-order or can’t help but want a taste of everything, you may get a shock when the bill arrives. So we’ve come up with a list of buffet places where you can get your fill of your favourite dim sum at wallet-friendly prices here:

1. Mandarin Palace – a majestic setting for brunch (RM58/person)

Mandarin Palace, opened in 1957, holds the reputation as one of the oldest dim sum restaurants in KL. Because of its palatial decor, one of the scenes in the 1964 award-winning film “The 7th Dawn” was shot here, making the restaurant the talk of the town then. These days, it’s most known for its affordable dim sum brunch.

The noodle station is the draw here, as dishes such as Pan Mee and Prawn Noodles are freshly served on request and vary week to week. There are also desserts, from Mango Pudding to local Malay Kuih such as Kuih Salat.
