You can tell Christmas is coming when the Mariah Carey jokes crop up and the colours red, green, and white start to take over every mall. While we Malaysians may not wake up to frost-covered windows or experience a white Christmas anytime soon, that doesn’t mean the Christmas spirit isn’t burning alive in the sweltering heat of Malaysia.
Here are the best Christmas events happening in and around KL, from November to December 2025, so you can feel the Christmas spirit.

1. Sparkling Charity Christmas Bazaar
A German Christmas bazaar for charity

Christmas isn’t just a holiday for receiving gifts, but it is also about giving alms to those who are in need. German Speaking Society Kuala Lumpur will be hosting its 38th annual Sparkling Charity Christmas Bazaar, where all admission proceeds will be donated to local charitable organisations.

The holiday bazaar brings Christmas market vibes straight from Germany to KL, with German food as the highlight of the event. Local vendors will also be selling all sorts of items for you to procure gifts for loved ones.

2. Lesgo Ready 4 X’MAS at LaLaport BBCC
Christmas vibes & performances on a rooftop garden

A Christmas party is set to take place at one of Bukit Bintang’s top malls. LaLaport BBCC’s rooftop garden will be decked out with Christmas decorations and the sorts in preparation for their Lesgo Ready 4 X’MAS event.

The pop-up Christmas event features live performances, a festive food bazaar, hands-on creative workshops, and fun games. There’s also a Christmas tree garden, so you can enjoy a white Christmas experience without travelling all the way to the highlands.

3. The Great Winter Carnival at Genting Winter Wonderland

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Genting Highlands. Misty views, cooler temperatures, and even ‘snow’ will cover the highlands’ popular Resorts World Genting in white. The annual winter-themed The Great Winter Carnival will take place from 21st November 2025 to 1st January 2026.
Parts of the resort destination will be decked out in twinkling fairy lights and dazzling decorations for that Christmas feel, particularly Kimhua Atrium, Gohtong Way, Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park Entrance, Liberty Lane, and Asteroid Arcade.

The winter-themed carnival will feature a lively lineup of events and performances. On 6th December, Suzuki Violin Malaysia will present a captivating live violin performance showcasing talented young violinists.
Then, from 19th December to 1st January 2026, festive Christmas choir performances will fill the air, and visitors will have the magical opportunity to meet Santa Claus in person. And from 21st November to 1st January 2026, snow sessions will take place every Sunday through Thursday, with five sessions at 7.30pm, 8.30pm, 9.30pm, 10.30pm, and 11pm.
Every Friday through Sunday–including school and public holidays as well as Christmas and New Year’s Eve–there will be nine snow sessions starting from 7.30pm until 11.30pm every 30 minutes.

4. Sunny Side Up Market
A hip Christmas pop-up market at The Campus

The Campus is about to enter the Christmas season, as Sunny Side Up Market is hosting a Christmas-themed pop-up market at the former school in Ampang.
The 3-day pop-up Christmas market will feature a lineup of local clothing and accessories with stylish clothes, eye-catching jewelry, and fashionable bags, which will make for thoughtful Christmas presents for loved ones.

Other featured items you can shop for Christmas presents at the pop-up market are candles, hand-woven rattan baskets, jewelry, and even different types of artisanal cheese. 5. Makoto House Christmas Kanpai

6. Kozie Christmas Market
Activities galore at a pop-up Christmas market

Cosy up this holiday season with Kozie Christmas Market, as they’re preparing workshops galore. The one-day-only Christmas pop-up market will take place at Jumpa KL in Jalan Ipoh, KL.
If you ever wanted to learn hand embroidery, you can start at Kozie Christmas Market’s snowflake keychain embroidery workshop. Suitable for beginners with no sewing experience, this class will teach you how to hand-stitch snowflake designs as you assemble your keychain.
Organised by Sherly Studios, the workshop goes for RM60/pax and RM110/2 pax. As part of the workshop, you’ll get to bring home 1 snowflake embroidery keychain made with the provided embroidery floss and tools.
There are a variety of classes available at Kozie Christmas Market if stitching isn’t your thing–specifically, crochet, journaling, zine-making, and gouache painting workshops. These are all suitable for newbies too, and ideal for a day out with loved ones to celebrate the holiday festivities.

7. Nutcracker & Clara’s Dream
A full-length live ballet performance

Enter the land of sweets and the Sugar Plum Fairy with a one-of-a-kind ballet performance inspired by the 1816 Christmas fairytale The Nutcracker and The Mouse King by E.T.A. Hoffman.
The ballet performance is presented by the City Ballet Academy, in homage to Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s classical ballet adaptation of the story.

Accompanying the ballet performance is a theatrical stage that transports the audience to Clara’s dream—a sequence in the performance where Clara goes on a magical adventure after receiving a nutcracker doll as a gift for Christmas.
Dancers will don exquisite party gowns in the style of the Baroque era on stage while snowflakes float gracefully throughout the performance, creating the illusion of a winter wonderland. The performance will run for 130 minutes, with a 15-minute intermission.
