Christmas mall decor in Klang Valley

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Malaysia, as the best part of the holiday season has now arrived – festive holiday decorations that are lighting up shopping malls with twinkling lights and merry shades of red, white, and green.

While we have rainy days in Malaysia in place of snowy ones in Hallmark movies, you can still feel like you’re in a winter wonderland at these shopping malls listed below that have some of the best Christmas decor in Klang Valley.

Christmas trees are not just something to place gifts under, and Suria KLCC is here to prove that. The KL shopping mall has a massive 100-foot-tall tree as the highlight of their Christmas display. To put this into perspective, it holds the title of “tallest Christmas tree replica in Malaysia”, standing around 4 storeys tall.

Around this time each year, the towering tree – decked in a thousand or so lights and baubles – returns to its spot between the main fountain at the mall’s outdoor Esplanade and KL’s iconic Petronas Twin Towers. There’s no bad angle of the tree no matter where you stand, so come prepped with a fully charged phone for a galore of photos.
