First Look At The ‘Demon Slayer’ Experience In KL – Immersive Photo Zones, Themed Food & Merch

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Experience in Malaysia

This mid-year has been a huge slay for Demon Slayer fans in Malaysia. There’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle coming to cinemas in August and a live-to-screen concert in September.

This June, there’s another event to add to your must-check-out spots centred around the hit Japanese anime series – a new Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Experience pop-up in KL.

What to expect at the exhibition

The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Experience exhibition is held at Acolab in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, between 28th June and 23rd September 2025. It’s the perfect thing to keep any Demon Slayer fan busy while waiting for the new movie to drop, with zones serving as a great run-through of the franchise’s epic arcs ahead of the upcoming release.

Like at previous exhibitions, including recent ones for Chainsaw Man and Crayon Shin-Chan, the latest experience themed around Demon Slayer has three main parts to it:

The exhibition space

Fans can step into the demon-slaying world at an exhibition space that recreates iconic scenes from the anime.

There’s one that brings to life the intricate, gravity-defying Infinity Castle of Muzan Kibutsuji, the series’ main antagonist and demon lord. Other demons are featured in this zone too, including the mysterious lute-playing demon that controls the movements of individuals who venture into the ryokan-inspired castle.

Another zone has a massive boulder replica from the Hashira Training Arc for fans to put themselves into the shoes of a Demon Slayer in training. Channel Tanjiro, shout “Set your heart ablaze!”, and imagine how it felt as the young Demon Slayer tested his willpower and pushed the limits of his physical strength.

The themed cafe

Themed food will be served at the cafe space, located across the exhibition space in the mall.

The menu here features mains, desserts, and drinks that are cafe-worthy and each inspired by the Demon Slayer Corps. The mains include standout ones like the Tanjiro Checkered Pattern Burger – unique, checkered “buns” made of rice sandwiching crisp fried chicken – and Nezuko Bamboo Soba that fuses the flavours of Japanese soba and wasabi with Western cream pasta and ham.

Needless to say, there’ll be photo op moments here – just picture enjoying a character-themed food or beverage in a cafe space decked out in a Demon Slayer theme, with the anime playing on a big screen.

The merch shop

If you’re after merch, you can stock up on licensed Demon Slayer goodies that are only available at the pop-up’s merchandise shop. Find adorbs mini acrylic stands (RM35/each), Nichirin Sword keychains (RM45/each), and passport covers (RM69/each).

For cosplayers, there are Tanjiro earrings (RM55) and character haori (RM399/each) worn by Tanjiro and Giyu in the anime.
