Disney magic gets an anime makeover at the Disney Collection by Mika Pikazo: Play In Color pop-up event in Malaysia.
The Disney collection pop-up exhibition features colourful art pieces from Japanese illustrator Mika Pikazo, whose works have been featured in numerous Japanese light novels, including Apocalypse Witch: To the Strongest of an Age of Plenty and The World Bows Down Before My Flames.
The event, comprising an exhibition space and retail shop, runs from 9th January to 15th February 2026 at LaLaport BBCC, in ACG Base on Level 2.

Hardcore Disney fans can expect to see some familiar Disney characters like Mickey Mouse reimagined through Mika Pikazo’s colourful art style. The featured illustrations at the pop-up event showcase the cultural blend between Western animation and Japanese anime-style art.

Eye-catching illustrations of the Disney Princesses are also displayed on large picture frames at the exhibition, so you can see beloved characters like Ariel and Cinderella in full anime glory. You’ll walk away wishing there was an actual anime series on them.

If you want a piece of Mika Pikazo’s Disney-inspired art to take home, or even some official Disney merchandise, a retail space at the event sells all sorts of goodies for characters like Mickey Mouse and the Disney Princesses. Expect to snag plush toys, acrylic stands, sticker sets, and photocards.

While we may not have Disneyland in Malaysia, you can visit the upcoming Disney Collection by Mika Pikazo: Play In Color expo to experience some of that Disney magic. There’ll be merch galore and plenty of photo ops with unique anime-inspired Disney artworks.
