DownShift E-Sports Arena in Petaling Jaya
Racing games like Gran Turismo and Forza Horizon that involve high speeds and the competition to be the first to finish the final lap can be thrilling. While that adrenaline rush can be felt through gaming consoles and PCs, racing simulator setups are a sure-fire way to fully immerse yourself in the experience.
You can experience that thrill at DownShift E-Sports Arena in Petaling Jaya. Opening daily from 12pm to 2am, this arena offers varying racing simulator setups to make your racing experience even more immersive and realistic.
Immersive racing game experience
DownShift E-Sports Arena was started by the social club DownShift in 2024. At their dedicated arena in Bandar Sunway, you can fully immerse yourself in the racing game world.

Forget the controllers at home and feel the leather of the steering wheel here. With the racing simulation setup, you’ll feel as if you’re in full control of a car rather than depending on controller buttons to speed down a racing track.
This arena is also the perfect hangout spot for you and your friends. You can race with five of your friends with their Bundle Pack (RM168), which allows for short-distance races with your friends for two hours.

With friendly races come competitions and events. The arena occasionally hosts sponsored competitions and events with cash prizes. You can check for updates on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
The cost of the need for speed
For the Normal Simulation experience using PS5 and ThrustMaster consoles, you can play for an hour at just RM23 or three hours for RM59. If you catch them at their Happy Hour from 12pm to 6pm, you only have to pay RM17/hour, or RM41 for three hours.
The VIP Simulation experience uses a PC monitor and MOZA Racing simulation setup, which is complete with drive wheels and pedals. This experience is only RM35/hour, and RM95 for three hours. During their Happy Hour, you can enjoy the rates at RM5 off – RM30/hour, or RM80 for three hours.
If you’d like to try the latest addition of 4DOF Motion Racing Simulator, try the Motion Simulation experience. It is only RM35 for 30 minutes and RM130 for 2 hours. During their Happy Hour, it is just RM30 and RM110, respectively.
