By now, most of us know that we’re not supposed to be outdoors as long as the Movement Control Order (MCO) is in session. And if you’re worried you may be developing COVID-19-like symptoms, you may be wary about waltzing into a hospital and potentially spreading the virus to unsuspecting individuals.
Well, it turns out you can now drive yourself over to hospitals such as KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital and get tested for COVID-19 via their drive-through service. No appointment is needed, so it’s an option to find out whether you’ve contracted the virus. It only takes 8 minutes to do so, and it turns out other hospitals in Malaysia are doing it too.

If you don’t want to add to the crowds at hospitals with all hands on deck now, but want to make sure you’re not going untested for COVID-19 symptoms, KPJ Damansara‘s drive-through COVID-19 testing is a timely service that lets you get screened from the safety of your car.

It costs RM600/pax, and your results will be emailed to you within 24 hours. In just 5 steps, all you have to do is register yourself, fill a questionnaire, make your payment, and be assessed by medical staff in just 8 minutes – which is speedier than waiting for your meal at a fast-food drive-through.
According to a physician who works at KPJ Damansara, the hospital has apparently been conducting more than 200 tests a day since it began. This goes to show that Malaysians are being diligent about being virus-free and also practicing social-distancing from their cars.

Those living a little further out in Sepang can abide by MCO roadblocks by heading to Klinik Siti in Kota Warisan. They’re taking appointments for drive-through COVID-19 screenings from 9.30AM for RM600/pax, with the whole process taking just 5 minutes.
Drive-through COVID-19 tests for all Malaysians
In order to get tested for COVID-19 at public hospitals, there are certain requirements to be met beforehand, such as close contact and previous travel history. But if you’re feeling iffy about developing symptoms, these drive-through services will allow you to get tested for it. Extra props as you can practice social distancing from the comfort of your car too.
