Eco-Shop Raises Prices To RM2.60 From 14th April, Take Note When Going Shopping For Your Barang-Barang

Eco-shop raises price at all stores nationwide


We have it lucky when it comes to sifting out affordable finds, with a good number of kedai RM2 chains out there. If you frequent Eco-shop to shop for your barang-barang, you’ll want to take note that they’ll be adjusting prices, from RM2.40 to RM2.60, at all outlets nationwide.

The price hike will come into effect from 14th April 2025.


From RM2.40 to RM2.60


Eco-shop is often the answer to our barang-barang needs. Snacks? Check. Garden tools and diningware? Check and check. You can find almost everything there, all at low prices. It’s also easy to locate a store – they’re Malaysia’s largest dollar store, with an impressive roster of over 300 outlets nationwide since their first store opened in Johor in 2003.

They’ve managed to maintain prices at RM2.40 per product since it was hiked in 2022 from RM2.20, with previous price jumps from an initial RM2. On 14th April, prices will increase another 20 sen, to RM2.60 for customers residing in Peninsular Malaysia. Likewise, those in Sabah, Sarawak, and Langkawi will see adjustments from RM2.60 to RM2.80.

The budget chain shared the news on their website and social media accounts on 17th March. In the post, they reaffirmed their stance on keeping home essential products at “the lowest prices”, even with rising production costs.

A big draw of shopping at dollar-store concept stores like Eco-shop is the low prices for essential goods. So it’s understandable why many of us have been taken aback at the 20 sen price increase.
