Ugh, I told you Mom–it wasn’t just a phase that only Mat Sallehs were into, it’s my aching heart crying over the bygone days of Myspace and long side-swept hair bangs. On Halloween, most people expect to hear screams, specters, and other spooky things. However, this October in Kuala Lumpur, there will be a different kind of thrill at Emo Night KL.
Emo Night KL is returning after a two-year hiatus as the city’s first, biggest, and longest-running pop-punk party, where you can scream-sing your heart out to your favorite angsty anthems. This party entails a night of raw energy, nostalgia, and belting out those iconic lyrics that defined your teenage years.

Get ready for some proper headbanging as DJs and local acts will be blasting and covering 2000s pop-punk classics throughout the night that’ll bring out that inner angst most of us used to have during our teenage years.
With a music set selection that includes popular punk bands like Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Green Day, The All-American Rejects, and many more, it’s the ultimate flashback to your teenage years when skinny jeans and long emo hair fringes were life.

The party will also feature DJs and local acts like Maruxa Lynd, DJ Aidaho, lead vocalist Darren from An Honest Mistake, and others.

The pop-punk music party will be held on 31st October 2025 at Vox Live KL from 9pm onwards. Do note that this party is strictly for ages 18 and above.
