This December, the Elmina Lakeside Festival returns to Shah Alam with all the festive flair you could wish for and then some. After debuting in December 2024, the festival is back with Malaysia’s first Floating Santa Village and a full roster of merry attractions.
Open from 6pm to 10pm, it’s the spot to visit if your Christmas spirit needs a little kick. As you arrive, follow the festive buzz straight to the entrance and grab your stamp card. Collect all the stamps at each checkpoint to unlock a mystery prize that’ll add an extra sparkle to your visit.
If you’re worried about getting lost, fret not, there are information boards that’ll guide you through the festival so you can wander freely without losing your way. Best of all, admission to this festival is free.

Start your journey at the Floating Santa House, complete with floating sleighs and a floating library hosting live storytelling every Saturday. There’s also a Teddy’s sparkling playground and a giant snowglobe for memories that sparkle as much as the decorations.

Next, wander into Magic Snowland, where twinkling lights and artificial snow transport you straight into a Christmas dreamland. Spotted is also a gingerbread house on site that begs for photos, so make sure your phones and cameras are fully charged and ready to go.
Weekdays let you enjoy the displays at your own pace, but weekends are where the magic truly comes alive with North Pole workshops, face painting, and wreath making for the kiddos to keep their little hands busy.

For gifting inspiration, the Nutcracker Christmas Market overflows with festive goodies, crafts and treats to take home or surprise someone special. Don’t forget to indulge in treats from favourites like Oh Cha Matcha and Sweet Things along the way.
