Fly Me To KL
Kuala Lumpur is often referred to as an on-the-go metropolis due to its bustling lifestyle. But there are pockets of calm spaces in the city too. So, if you’re looking to relax with friends or family, Fly Me To KL is a Moroccan-inspired cafe with majestic, brown-tinted arches and curved doors that’ll make you feel like you’re on a luxurious vacation.
Here’s what you can expect at this newly opened cafe in KL.

Branching from its origins at the Fly Me to Cafe in Penang, this sister cafe in KL is located on the 37th floor of the Regalia Hotel.
Elements of warm sand – like that in the Sahara Desert – and straw umbrellas add a dose of tranquility to the cafe’s space, creating an overall surreal atmosphere of temporarily “flying” away from the usual day in KL.
Here, you can sit back on cosy couches with a view of the KL skyline. If you’re going alone, fret not – the gorgeous ambience comprising cacti and bean bags will provide great silent company and a space for introspection.

Diners have the option of dining indoors, which offers a visually appealing interior, or outdoors where patrons will be transported to “Morocco” with the cafe’s alluring white tents.
As the night falls, the magnetic skyline of the city centre frames the outdoor dining experience. The layout definitely gives off the impression of living that high life.
While you’ll be tempted to spend long hours dining and snapping photos here, do keep in mind that dining time is limited to 2 hours.

Fly Me to KL offers exquisitely pleasing treats such as the signature sharing platter, Picnic Basket (RM58), which comprises smoked spring chicken, onion rings, nuggets, fries, and salad served with mayonnaise. Other light bites include the daily-made nachos, served with avocado, salsa, and cheese sauce.
For a full-course meal, the cafe serves Western mains such as Chicken Roulade (RM33) – stuffed chicken thighs with sautéed mushroom filling and freshly made pumpkin mash.

The cafe’s ambience is not the only thing that’s aesthetically pleasing. Their signature coolers are a treat for the eyes and taste bud too. For something refreshing to pair with your meal, try the Passion Dream (RM20), a unique concoction of passion fruit and orange for a citrusy tropical flavour, or the Flycheeto (RM22) – a mojito-inspired drink comprising lime, mint, and lychee.
For hot sips, the coffee specials offer a creative spin like the Honey Lemon Bae (RM19), a coffee-based drink with a Honey Lemon Tea twist, and Mojito Breeze (RM19).
