SEA’s Largest French Impressionist Art Exhibition Is Coming To SG This Nov, Get Tix To Skip A Trip To The Louvre

Into the Modern: Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

Singapore’s making an impression like never before, and a very French one at that. In collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the National Gallery Singapore is hosting Southeast Asia’s biggest-ever French Impressionist art exhibition in November 2025.

As this is an unmissable chance to view renowned artworks in person – in the case that a trip to the US or Paris isn’t on the cards right now – you’ll want to consider that drive down to the Lion City to see the exhibition in person.

First-ever French Impressionist art show in Southeast Asia

If a trip to the Louvre feels unattainable, try the National Gallery Singapore instead, which will be turning into an exquisite treasure trove of Impressionist gems soon.

The museum is set to host the biggest French Impressionist art exhibition in Southeast Asia – the first of its kind in the region – where art lovers can revel in an evocative selection of French paintings from various Impressionist eras.

Titled ‘Into the Modern: Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston’, the art exhibition will feature over 100 artworks, which include masterpieces by Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, and Berthe Morisot. The pieces will be travelling all the way from the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

To be held at the Singtel Special Exhibition Gallery at the museum’s Modern Art wing, the exhibition will be curated into seven thematic sections that trace the vibrant evolution of French Impressionism and its many faces.

At its heart are 17 iconic works by Claude Monet, including the luminous Poppy Field in a Hollow near Giverny and the radiant Cap Martin near Menton – a true treat for anyone who has ever been captivated by light dancing across a canvas.
