‘Haikyu!!’ cafe & merch at Doko Koko in KL
Sports anime are rising in popularity as of late. Most of them revolve around ball sports, and a select few venture into other sports like ice skating and swimming. But Haikyu!!, a sports anime from 2014, is about high school volleyball teams and is currently trending and gaining popularity in Malaysia.
Now, fans can put on their best volleyball team jersey because Doko Koko at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) has opened a Haikyu!!-themed cafe. Starting from 19th September 2025, you can eat meals themed around your favourite Haikyu!! character and buy limited official merchandise available for this collaboration.
What is the Haikyu!! collaboration with Doko Koko?

The beloved volleyball anime series has collaborated with Doko Koko, an anime-themed cafe located in LaLaport BBCC. Previously, the cafe has done collaborations with another popular anime: My Hero Academia. They’ve also done collabs with YouTube virtual streamers like NIJISANJI EN and the popular mobile game, Love And Deepspace.
The latest collaboration with Haikyu!! starts from 19th September for a limited time. Fans are able to enter the cafe for free to witness how Karasuno has soared, from the cafe walls to the themed menu. The cafe also has a merchandise section where fans are able to purchase official Haikyu!! merchandise for the collaboration.
A menu inspired by Haikyu!!
When you step into the cafe, you’ll find that the Japanese-inspired menu is not only specialised to fit the theme of the anime – it is also based on iconic duos in the anime series.

Similar to the pictures, the chibi versions of the duo of the dish come along with your meal. For example, the unagi don dish has the popular duo, Kuroo and Kenma from Nekoma High.
As for the price, the food and beverages range from RM16 to RM38.

Haikyu!! merch at the cafe’s merchandise shop
As per the collaboration, there is also a merch shop inside the cafe. Here, there are all sorts of official goodies and items sold exclusively for this collaboration. The items range from small knick-knacks like notepads, badges, and keychains, to wearable and usable items such as apparel, water bottles, and stylish bags.

The prices for merch range from RM15 to RM189.
You can browse Doko Koko’s website or Instagram to check what items are available and how much each item costs. Currently, the first batch of merchandise will be available from September to October. The second batch is yet to be announced.
Fly high at Doko Koko’s Haikyu!! collaboration cafe
While the Haikyu!! manga has wrapped up, the animation is still an ongoing series. TOHO Animation is currently deciding on a production of a second Haikyu!! film and an upcoming season to complete the final arc of the series.
