What to expect at Hoverland

Hoverland is the highest altitude observation deck in Malaysia, perched atop Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel in Genting Highlands. The new attraction, which recently opened in May, has even been officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records.

Situated at 6,106 feet above sea level, it offers one-of-a-kind photo spots and a skywalk that places you above the clouds.

The Hangout is arguably this attraction’s crown jewel. Strap yourself to a safety harness and make your way out onto a wired bridge called the Skywalk to feel like you’re on top of the world – literally.

When making your way through The Hangout, you can stop, sit, hang for a bit, and take some warmup shots before reaching the epic Skywalk.

If the above sounds a tad too thrilling for you, you can still take sky-high selfies at the top of the Stairway to Heaven – no harnesses are required at this photo spot. Ascend the clean white steps and pose in the minimalistic doorframe for some heavenly-looking shots – pun fully intended.

Other interesting zones include raised viewing points with binoculars, a gift shop with souvenirs ranging from active outerwear to fashion accessories, and even a cafe called Rawr Rawr Ra where you can order a cup of latte (from RM14.50) and be served from a hole in the wall by a cute host, a mysterious creature with big furry paws.

There are outdoor seats scattered around the rooftop to plop down and enjoy your beverage and the views.
