Hwang In Youp is coming to Penang for a meet & greet
Penangites are in for a very K-celeb-filled second half of the year. We’ve had the announcement of the Korean OST Concert 2025 to be held on the island with a dazzling lineup of Korea’s top OST artists, and now we’ve got another exciting announcement.
South Korean heartthrob and actor Hwang In Youp – who had all our K-drama hearts breaking for him as the yearning Han Seo Jun in hit drama True Beauty – is set to head to Penang for a special meet-and-greet event this September.
Here’s everything to know about the event, and how you can stand a chance to win a private chat sesh with the Hwang In Youp himself.

Sharp cheekbones, intense eyes, boyish charm, brooding glances, and a voice dipped in warmth – that’s Hwang In Youp to us. And to all the Penang lang who will be seeing all of these up close and in person soon, jealous is an understatement.
The Family by Choice and The Sound of Magic actor is confirmed to be holding a private meet-and-greet event in Penang on 6th September 2025, after Malaysian food brand Nuuna Malaysia finally revealed the celebrity behind their social media teases over the past few days.
Organized by the brand, the event will have selected lucky winners of a contest happening over at the brand’s official social media to have a 2-minute chat with the actor in person, along with a signed Polaroid photo.
While the event is confirmed to take place in Penang, the exact venue of the meet-and-greet will be announced at a later date.
How to win a meet-and-greet with Hwang In Youp

While there are plenty of helpful guides and tips over at Nuuna Malaysia’s Instagram page, here are details on how to participate in the contest to hopefully win yourself a session of the meet-and-greet with Hwang In Youp:
- Purchase the satay-flavoured Nuuna instant noodles, along with one other flavour from selected local supermarkets near you.
- Take a picture of your purchase, and post the pictures of the products on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or X with the hashtag #NUUNABersamaHWANGINYOUP, and tag the official Nuuna Malaysia account as well. Participants will have to make sure that their social media accounts are set to public.
- Submit your valid receipts, as well as the link of your social media post, via a link on Nuuna’s Instagram bio.
The contest is ongoing from now till 15th August 2025.
