Maintenance work was cited as the reason for the closure, to ensure that the Swedish furniture store can continue to meet the “high hygiene standards” set by both the brand and local health authorities.

The IKEA Cafe and Bistro at the Cheras location remains open, while all eateries at other IKEA stores nationwide remain fully operational.

The notice states that the restaurant would have to close from 10pm, on 17th June. A closure sign has also been put up at the restaurant.
