Jollibee at Sunway Pyramid shopping mall
Malaysians were more than excited to hear that Jollibee would be opening 120 stores in West Malaysia in the next 10 years. While the expansion plans released in June 2021 did not name any potential locations, the wait may soon be over for Klang Valley residents looking to feast on the popular Filipino fast food chain’s Chickenjoy.
Apart from their Sabah outlet in the East, eagled-eyed individuals have spotted a Jollibee outlet at Sunway Pyramid shopping mall in Petaling Jaya too.
Update: On 28th January 2022, Jollibee Malaysia announced on their social media accounts that their Sunway Pyramid outlet will open on 8th February 2022.
Jollibee spotted in Sunway Pyramid
Photos of the Jollibee outlet in Sunway Pyramid have been widely shared across several social media platforms. On Facebook, Bandar Sunway Today shared three photos of the fast food restaurant under renovation in the mall, with the post receiving over 1,300 shares at the time of writing.
According to the Facebook page, which shares the latest updates surrounding the Bandar Sunway area, the Jollibee outlet can be found on the Lower Ground 2 floor, occupying lot 126 in the mall.
It will be located just next to a Seoul Garden outlet.
The Jollibee restaurant is currently not open and under renovation. Sunway Pyramid and Jollibee have yet to make an official announcement about the opening date of Jollibee’s first West Malaysia outlet too.
But the fast food restaurant’s ubiquitous mascot printed on the temporary renovation front is hard to miss in the mall, along with the words “Chickenjoy loved by millions” – especially for those looking to feast on their offerings of fried chicken and more from the Philippines.
Jollibee to open in Petaling Jaya
