KL Jazz in the Park
Most of us associate a trip to the park with activities like bicycling or picnicking. The idea of enjoying outdoor smooth jazz performances is rarer, but this will happen soon, thanks to Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).
For a day only in April, Orkestra Kuala Lumpur is hosting KL Jazz in the Park at Panggung Anniversary in Perdana Botanical Gardens. The best part – admission is free.

On 18th April 2026, you’ll be hearing more than just birds chirping and leaves rustling at Kuala Lumpur’s Perdana Botanical Gardens. Panggung Anniversary, an open-air concert venue at the park, will host performances as part of KL Jazz in the Park for one day.

Four local musicians are set to take the stage: the 13-member Bornean Traditopia, Sarawakian Tuku ‘Kame’, Malay-Indian fusion Akasha, and DBKL’s resident musicians Attap Band.
DBKL previously hosted a similar jazz-focused music event at the KL park in 2019.
If you are worried about going hungry, coffee vendors and food trucks will be part of the festival and around throughout the day so that you can snack, sip, and chill between performances.
What time does KL Jazz in the Park start?
KL Jazz in the Park kicks off at 2pm, thoughtfully avoiding the midday heat, and continues into the evening until 11pm.
How to get tickets?
Entry to the outdoor jazz showcase is free, but you’ll need to book a slot. To secure your spot, simply register an account via DBKL’s Tempah website and book tickets for 18th April. An e-ticket will be issued to your account upon confirmation.

You can catch jazz acts part of KL Jazz In the Park at the canopied Panggung Anniversary, which has sturdy step seating that can accommodate about 2,000 people at a time. It’s located inside Perdana Botanical Gardens, which is easily accessible via public transport.
Parking is also available within the botanical gardens.
