Kuala Lumpur Orchestra Festival 2026 (FOKL) is back for the year, and music lovers can once again look forward to a packed calendar of free performances throughout June. Organised by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall, or Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), the annual event will feature a month-long programme of free orchestral performances by both local and international musicians, allowing the audiences in KL to enjoy live music without an admission fee.

The sounds of orchestral music will once again echo across the capital as the Kuala Lumpur Orchestra Festival 2026 returns for its third edition this year, running from 28th May to 28th June 2026.

Along with Orkestra KL – our own homegrown orchestra that regularly plays free concerts at the Auditorium Dewan Bandaraya -, FOKL will bring together orchestras, youth ensembles, choirs, wind bands, and traditional music groups from Thailand, Singapore, Japan, China, and the Philippines for a diverse lineup of concerts open to the public.

Admission is free, though advance registration is required. Here is the list of free orchestra shows you can attend and where to secure your spot:

  • Wind Ensemble by SKY Wind Band: 13th June at 6.30pm. Register here.
  • PJ Philharmonic Orchestra’s Pocket Show: 20th June at 6.30pm. Register here.
  • Maquiling Orchestra: 21st June at 3.30pm. Register here.
  • An Evening with the Selangor & Kuala Lumpur Orchestra & Choir (SKOC): 27th June at 6.30pm. Register here.

These concerts will be taking place at the Auditorium Bandaraya in Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur.

Alongside these orchestral performances, there will also be interactive forum programmes such as the two-day Symphony of Progress on 20th and 21st June at 9.30am, as well as the Pulse of Motherland forum on 26th June at 10am.
