Lay Zhang Listening Event in Malaysia
EXO’s concert in Malaysia is inching closer, and Malaysian EXO-Ls are having the best time of their lives. And the fun isn’t over. Now, fans are surprised by an announcement from EXO member Lay Zhang, who will be holding a global listening event in Malaysia on 27th June 2026 that’s timed to the release of his upcoming album, Flawed Crown.

What is a listening event?
For the uninitiated, a listening party is an event where fans gather to listen to an entire album, EP, or single before or shortly after its release. The artist is usually present during the event to listen to the tracks with fans, share more about the song-making process, and answer questions regarding the album.
It’s less like a concert with full-blown performances and a strict setlist, and typically more like a fanmeeting with fan interactions and question-and-answer segments from the artist.
Lay returns to Malaysia for a listening event

Lay has confirmed on his official Instagram that he’ll be in Malaysia on 27th June for the global listening event, through his Instagram broadcast channel. The Chinese rapper and singer shared several voice messages on the channel, stating that he’ll “see you [fans] in Malaysia, abang Lay is here, always” in one of them. It’s safe to assume that he’ll be present at the event in Malaysia based on this.
He was last in Malaysia in 2024 for a solo concert as part of the Grandline 4: Step world tour, and also in 2023 for a fanmeet and music listening party.

For his upcoming schedule in Malaysia, he’ll take the stage at Unifi Arena, formerly Axiata Arena, with the event kicking off at 8pm.
What are the ticket prices?
Tickets are priced between RM388 and RM688, with the breakdown of categories as follows: PS3 (RM388), PS2 (RM488), PS1 (RM588), and VIP (RM688).
The event is fully seated, with seats auto-assigned during ticketing. According to concert guidelines, you’ll have to keep your phone tucked in your pocket, as photography, audio, or video recording is not allowed during the event.
You can purchase tickets on Ticket2u’s website, with presale starting on 10th June, from 1.14pm.

It’s certainly a thrill to have Lay start his global listening event in Malaysia before he sets off to other locations worldwide. This surprising announcement is certainly a treat for EXO-Ls, who are likely to have post-concert blues after EXO’s concert on 20th June.
