Luna Lights Wonderland in Malaysia
Whether it’s fireworks in the sky or neon signs at a cafe, a good light display never fails to mesmerise. If this describes you, you’ll want to head to Bukit Jalil Recreational Park. Luna Lights Wonderland, Malaysia’s largest lights festival, is hosted there from 17th January to 23rd February 2025.
The outdoor lights festival lets you step into a dazzling wonderland with seven themed zones – including a galaxy zone complete with a giant moon and planets. Here’s what you can expect to see there.

Luna Lights Wonderland has been touring Malaysia, with its 11th stop in KL at the sprawling Bukit Jalil Recreational Park. With the help of 1.8 million LED lights and illuminating stunning displays set up throughout the park, visitors can expect to be dazzled while strolling through the 20-hectare outdoor space.

If you’re wondering just how huge the festival is, it earned its spot in the Malaysia Book of Records as the largest lights festival in the country in 2024. Needless to say, you can expect to be wowed by plenty of photo-worthy corners. If you happen to get hungry during your visit, there’ll be no need to exit the park and return, as there’ll be food trucks serving delectable treats and refreshments.

Tickets to the festival are priced at RM20/adult and RM10/child. You can purchase tickets at the festival grounds, which opens daily to the public from 7pm till 12am.
Wander through seven captivating themed zones

True to its namesake as the largest lights festival in the country, Luna Lights Wonderland lets you wander through seven captivating themed zones, each complete with unique displays.

A highlight here is the Space zone, which showcases the mysteries of the cosmos. Be wowed by replicas of the moon and planets, as well as an illuminated astronaut and his rocket.

Next up is the Aquatic zone, where inflatable sea creatures and lit-up displays of underwater features can be found. There’s also an Animal corner that families with kiddos will especially enjoy, with even more displays of animals to be discovered here.

The final Forest zone is where you’ll get to step into an illuminated woodland with trees and flowers coming alive with a symphony of lights.

Not to be missed at this festival either is the gleaming Aurora River, boasting a breathtaking cascade of lights and the 18-metre tall Tree of Life. If you’re coming by with kiddos, don’t forget to bring them to see the colossal mascot named Luna which stands at a remarkable height of 11.5 metres.
