Many Malaysians have had to put their special celebrations and events on hold due to the Movement Control Order (MCO) and COVID-19 plight. But this doesn’t mean you need to stop planning ahead for a life post-MCO.

For those who have weddings or special occasions that are pending, you’ll be glad to know that a group of renowned Malaysian photographers are offering their photo shooting services for a cool RM1,000. The best part is, every single cent goes to benefit COVID-19 frontliners

Photography sessions for charity – how it works

A collective of professional photographers under the hashtag #fundportraits are offering 1-hour photoshoot sessions for a donation of RM1,000. Not too bad, considering every cent will go to benefit those who’ve been battling the virus at the frontlines, and those who’ve been affected by the COVID-19 plight.

You can choose to donate to any of the 3 NGOs listed:

  • Mercy Malaysia: Provides medical and humanitarian relief both in Malaysia and abroad.
  • Tabung COVID-19: Fund for those affected by COVID-19, including medical frontliners.
  • Pertubuhan Kasih Umat Malaysia: A relief fund set up by humanitarian Ustaz Ebit Liew.

Ustaz Ebit Liew has been helping local communities and frontliners

Simply make a booking with your preferred photographer and send your donation before 28th April 2020*. Note that it’s only applicable for the first 2 bookings per photographer, so book your slot ASAP

You can make plans for your photoshoot with the photographer after the MCO is lifted, depending on what government regulations are in place during that time.

Donation details – For those who don’t require a photoshoot, these NGOs also welcome donations of any amount.
