MapleStorySEA 20th Anniversary in Malaysia
If you’re a fan of MapleStory, now is your chance to experience a pop-up event celebrating the popular game’s 20th anniversary. A 3-day event, MapleStorySEA 20th Anniversary, has arrived in Malaysia with IRL mini games and gifts to grab when you complete them.
General entry is free, but enthusiasts can also purchase exclusive RSVP packs that unlock physical and in-game goodies upon completing IRL quests to level up their experience. Here’s everything you need to know about the pop-up:

What to expect at the MapleStorySEA 20th Anniversary in Malaysia
Instead of scrolling through Maple World, take an actual stroll through it at the MapleStorySEA 20th Anniversary pop-up, themed Victoria Voyage: Sailing Beyond, in Malaysia. Taking place from 18th to 20th July 2025, the event at Sunway Pyramid’s Blue Concourse is bringing all sorts of voyaging fun to life for fans of the popular side-scrolling, role-playing game.
Besides meeting fellow Maplers in person, the pop-up has a variety of activities to take part in that will be part of your “mission” here. Complete them, and you’ll get to win MapleStory merchandise freebies. The event runs from 10am to 9pm each day, giving you ample time to complete your quest.
Are there admission fees for the pop-up?
Anyone entering the pop-up can snap selfies with the mobs, or monsters, of MapleStory at photo spots and the main stage. Each visitor will also be given a free mission card – all you need to do is log in with your MSPassport account or create one at a booth at the pop-up to receive this.
Once you’ve completed the missions on the card – including taking a selfie with Pink Bean when it shows up and bringing a MapleStory colouring sheet to life with marker pens – you can claim a MapleStory fan, a sticker, a postcard, and a Malaysia-exclusive MapleStorySEA tote bag.
Psst: Pink Bean will make an appearance at the pop-up at 12pm-1pm and 5pm-6pm on Saturday, and 12pm-1pm on Sunday.
Those who purchase the RSVP package will be given a RSVP mission card instead, which comes with a separate set of missions, including completing IRL mini games to get gashapon tickets – but more on this later. You’ll also get exclusive in-game items, lucky draw chances, and MapleStory swag like a Pink Bean cap and a 20th anniversary coaster.
There are two types of RSVP packages to purchase: Basic for S$20 (~RM66.10) and Premium for S$60 (~RM198.29). You can purchase these on Eventbrite here.
Challenge yourself at mini carnival games
Whether you have a character in MapleStory or not, the carnival game booths will be fun to explore with friends or the kiddos. Put your skills and luck to the test at four IRL quest zones, each representing different areas in MapleStory’s Victoria Island. The best part – scores achieved at each booth land you gashapon tickets to redeem in-game items or physical MapleStory merchandise.
There’s the Henesys Critical Shot, an archery game that requires you to take down mobs with your arrows, and the Nautilus Bullet Time, where you’ll test your reflexes by hitting as many flashing lights as you can, preferably at bullet speed if you want to land more tickets.
The Ellinia Arcane Overdrive looks deceivingly simple: Press a button when the timer hits 20 seconds. It’s no easy feat, but scores close to the target will still land you tickets. The Perion Slash Blast is a whack-a-mole game, but with MapleStory’s iconic mobs, of course.
These game booths require credits to play, included with the RSVP packages. You get:
- 5 play coupons when you purchase a Basic RSVP
- 15 play coupons when you purchase a Premium RSVP
Otherwise, you can purchase five play coupons for RM50 at the Redemption Booth. Do note that only cash is accepted.
Purchase MapleStory swag or in-game items
It’s time to level up your MapleStory character – and your IRL room and wardrobe.
There’s a Merchandise Booth here selling both physical MapleStory merch and in-game items. Get your hands on the coveted Pink Bean Bolster (RM215), adorbs Mascot Crossbody Bag (RM115), and more. As for game items, you can stylise your character with new accessories, hairstyles, faces, and more.
