My50 pass to be available on the TnG app from 1st July
There are several unlimited travel passes available in Malaysia, but for commuters, the My50 pass stands as the best deal for many as it offers unlimited rides on all train and bus services for RM50. After its announcement in 2024, users will finally be able to renew their My50 pass via the Touch ‘n Go (TnG) eWallet app from 1st July 2025 onwards.
No more queueing to renew My50
We can bid goodbye to those dreaded queues to renew our My50 passes. While renewing a My50 pass in person takes approximately 2-3 minutes, the upgraded system will allow My50 pass users to subscribe, renew, and handle their travel passes completely online, all on the TnG eWallet app.
The My50 pass can also be loaded onto TnG NFC-enabled cards, instead of your MyKad. To confirm your Malaysian citizenship, now that the MyKad is no longer in play, there’ll be a verification process on the app via the e-know-your-customer (eKYC) system.

The move is part of the government’s push to go digital with public transport and support a cashless system. It’s expected to ease congestion at service counters and make renewals faster and more convenient for the 180,000 users who rely on the My50 pass for daily travel.
How to activate or renew your My50 on the Touch ‘n Go app
