1. Pokémon Pokopia Truck

The now-viral Pokémon Pokopia Nintendo Switch 2 game has taken over not just the internet, but also Malaysia. A Pokémon Pokopia Truck has been travelling around Klang Valley, bringing with it gaming stations so those who have yet to buy the game can try it out.

There’s also a free Pokémon Pokopia sunvisor that visitors can get when they visit the truck, and other activities to check out, such as colouring stations and special appearances from everyone’s favourite pokémon, Pikachu.

2. Jazz Jam at Bartolo

Jazz nights are a regular thing on Thursdays at the cosy Bartolo, located in the building that sits right behind Central Market.
For their upcoming Jazz Jam, which is in its 108th session, they are welcoming seasoned vocalist Michelle Nunis, who has entertained crowds at Hard Rock Cafe locations in KL, Singapore, and Beijing. She’ll be performing with a live band, who will come together for a night of jazz standards, blues, and rock.

3. BookFest Malaysia

Bookworms are in for a treat this month. You can spend hours browsing for books and more at BookFest Malaysia, a 9-day bookfair that takes place from 18th March at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The popular event gathers publishers, authors, and readers for a large-scale literary fair filled with book promotions, exhibitions, and reading-related activities across multiple halls.
Expect to find books, stationery, CDs, and more from over 530 booths at the fair, which celebrates its 20th anniversary.

The mischievous Crayon Shin-Chan takes on space with his friends and family at the Crayon Shinchan Space & Time Adventure Interactive Exhibition at Incubase Arena in KL.

Held till 23rd March, the family-friendly exhibition is fun for both the grown-ups and kiddos. Visitors will get to embark on a rescue mission with games to figure out in its interactive zones, and take photos at five themed zones that are all inspired by the Crayon Shin-Chan manga, anime, and films.

To celebrate Malaysia’s cultural heritage for Visit Malaysia 2026, the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC) is holding a series of free-entry MaTiC Cultural Shows at the Mini Auditorium in their building.
The 1-hour shows will involve traditional dances that spotlight Malaysia’s rich culture. You can catch a performance every Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday in March.

The first-ever exhibition for the Digital World of the Digimon and the DigiDestined is here in Malaysia after a run in Hong Kong. Digimon Adventure Anime 25th Anniversary Exhibition takes place at KL’s Incubase Arena till 23rd March, celebrating over two decades of the monster-collecting franchise.

The exhibition contains original production artefacts, scene recreations, and life-sized displays of iconic Digimon, including Agumon and Omegamon. At the end of your exhibition exploration, you can cop merch from the series, including cushions and key charms.

9. Gelato buffet at Niko Neko

Two words: Bottomless. Gelato.
For Ramadan, Malaysia’s popular Niko Neko launches a gelato buffet at their Damansara Heights branch, so you don’t have to settle on a single gelato flavour while you’re at the cafe.
Available from now till 22nd March, the gelato buffet has all-you-can-eat cold scoops, waffles, and toppings. You can indulge in an unlimited spread of 19 gelato flavours for 90 minutes, which is plenty of time to get your fill of icy matcha scoops.

Hari Raya mall decor season is finally here. Shopping malls in Malaysia have decked their centre courts with pretty festive decor accompanied by Raya markets, so you can shop and take photos of your OOTD on a trip to the mall.
Hotspots in Klang Valley, like Suria KLCC, The Exchange TRX, and Mid Valley Megamall, will have festive displays up as late as 5th April, so you can enjoy the twinkling lights, kampung house recreations, and blooming flowers for a little longer.

12. Bazram Merdeka at Stadium Merdeka

Food lovers should visit Bazram Merdeka, happening from now till 19th March. Taking place at the historic Stadium Merdeka, the bazaar is dubbed one of the largest Ramadan bazaars in the city centre. It features a wide range of food stalls, shopping vendors, and dedicated spaces for breaking fast together, creating a lively and communal Ramadan experience in the heart of KL.

14. Raya Weekend Jam Session at Jao Tim

Some shows to look out for include the festive Raya Weekend Jam Session, a free-entry show that only requires you to purchase a drink to enter. A live band will come together to perform Raya hits that we all know and love.
Other free-entry sessions include a Sohl Music Jam on 21st March, where you can enjoy tunes from varied genres, from Indopop to RnB.
