Chinese New Year only comes once a year. So even if one of your 2026 resolutions involves eating more well-balanced meals, helping yourself to all the yee sang you want and going for seconds at the dinner table is a celebratory must.

And we’re happy to report that spots like One World Hotel are now rolling out extravagant CNY menus for those opting to dine out. This year, the hotel located in Petaling Jaya has 11-course set menus with dishes that cover a range of tastes and special deals for all your festive gathering needs.

Those looking to eat like a, ahem, horse to usher in the Year of the Horse with max huat can consider Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant at One World Hotel.

Whether it’s a lowkey family gathering or a full-blown reunion dinner with all the uncles, aunties, and cousins present, the elegant restaurant has several CNY set menu options available from now till 3rd March 2026.

The menu includes an 11-course Wealthy Set, priced from RM2,399 nett for 10 pax, with a RM2,099 nett option also available for groups of six. Highlight dishes include the rich double-boiled abalone soup with free-range chicken, the heavy centrepiece braised 10-head abalone, and the ridiculously good steamed Sabah red grouper.

For a unique yee sang to lou hei with, the set comes with one that brings salmon, black caviar, and soft-shell crab together in a rainbow-coloured mix.

To yam seng into the New Year and earn stamps of approval from your uncles, the restaurant also has a CNY exclusive for non-vegetarian sets, available to groups of at least six. You can order a bottle of in-house red or white wine at just RM50.

There’s an option for smaller groups of four, too: the eight-course Titanium Individual Set that’ll satisfy a range of tastebuds.

Priced from RM388 nett per person, the set features CNY staples such as Buddha Jump Over The Wall alongside gorgeous barbecued lamb cutlets and steamed cod fish with a pumpkin porridge dressing.

Beyond the set menus, there are CNY brunch and dinner buffets offered at Cinnamon Coffee House in One World Hotel, so you can leave the cooking to the professional chefs during the festivities.

The halal-certified restaurant rolls out special buffets for Chinese New Year’s Eve and the first two days of CNY, from 16th to 18th February.

The buffet brunch (from RM99) lets all the good feelings rush in with dishes such as kung pao chicken pizza and butter prawn with chicken floss, while the buffet dinner (from RM119) has star dishes like baked lobster with kam heong butter and grouper in a spicy mango mayo sauce.

For those planning larger celebrations, One World Hotel has ballrooms and function rooms ready to host up to 200 round tables. Banquet set menus start at RM2,699++ for 10 pax, with a buffet option also available at RM279++ per pax which requires a minimum booking of 250 guests.

On 20th February, from 12.30pm onwards, there’ll be a special lion dance performance taking place at One World Hotel’s Porte-Cochère, or grand main entrance, to set an auspicious tone for the year ahead.
