Paris Baguette in Malaysia
Ever since Covid-19 restrictions eased, there has been a whole slew of new international businesses opening in Malaysia. This month, carb lovers in particular will be extra excited – popular South Korean bakery cafe, Paris Baguette, has opened its very first store in Malaysia.
We popped in the new bakery, located in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, to bring you this first look of the store.
First Malaysia outlet at Pavilion KL
Calling all foodies – particularly those who love carbs in the form of pastries. Paris Baguette, a South Korean bakery, is now open in Pavilion KL.
For the uninitiated, Paris Baguette first opened in 1988 as a casual bakery cafe in South Korea. It quickly became one of the most popular neighbourhood bakeries in the country, serving freshly baked breads, sweet cakes, and delicious coffee.
We were impressed with the similar range of baked goods at the bakery’s Malaysian outlet. Speaking of food, you’ll want to read on to find out what breads and pastries drinks you’ll be able to get here.
Choux pastries, baguette sandwiches & brunch specials
We found a glass display housing Choux pastries with fillings such as Choco (RM16.90/4 pcs) and Fresh Cream (RM16.90/4 pcs), as well as Macarons (RM7.90/pc) in three flavours: chocolate, salted caramel, and vanilla.
Their whole cakes also caught our eye. There were mouthwatering ones behind the glass, such as the Choco Banana Mousse Cake (RM149) that’s topped with sugar-glazed strawberry and banana slices.
Those sticking with the classics can opt for French-inspired bakes – we spotted buttery croissants (RM9.90/pc), mini choco twists (RM14.90/8 pcs), and beef bacon rolls (RM13.90/pc).
For something heartier, the bakery also whips up well-stuffed baguette sandwiches and fresh salads. On our visit, we saw stacks of Spicy BBQ Chicken Sandwich (RM25.90) with Sriracha-marinated chicken, cheddar cheese, and chicken bacon, as well as Smoked Salmon & Avocado Salad (RM35.90) – which is a mix of fresh vegetables topped with smoked salmon.
The bakery’s All Day Dining Menu, available from 11am to 9pm, features starter plates, pastas, and risotto.
There are unique ones to look out for such as the Spicy Bulgogi Cream Pasta and Ebiko Prawn Cream Pasta, for RM39.90 per plate. Or, if you’re swinging by for brunch, full breakfast plates – including Beef Bacon Croque Madame Sandwich (RM36.90) and Classic French Toast (RM37.90) – are served from opening till 5pm.
Paris Baguette opens first outlet in Malaysia
Back in June 2022, Paris Baguette announced it would be opening its first store in Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. They currently operate 4,000 stores globally, including in Korea, the US, Singapore, and now Malaysia. And if you just can’t get enough of the bakery’s offerings, the bakery cafe plans to open five more outlets in Malaysia in a year.
So if you fancy some decadent French-inspired pastries, drop by the bakery.
