Pokémon Truck pop-up comes to Malaysia
We all remember running around our neighbourhoods trying to catch ‘em all with our phones in hand, and the Pokémon Go mobile game pulled up. Now picture catching Pokémon-themed trucks at malls in our neighbourhoods in Klang Valley, to try the latest Nintendo Switch 2 game from the media franchise and score freebies.
That’s what you can do between 5th March and 4th June 2026, as a pop-up Pokémon Truck for Pokémon Pokopia hits the roads of Malaysia.
What’s the pop-up Pokémon Truck for?
A Pokémon Truck is making its way across Klang Valley and bringing Pokémon’s latest game, Pokémon Pokopia, and merchandise along with it.

The new title is a life simulation game where players can help build a cosy life with Pokémon, which launches on 5th March.

If you want to get a sneak peek at the new game before buying it for yourself, Pokéfans can catch the 20ft LED truck that’s been converted into an interactive gaming space equipped with four gaming stations. Each station has a Nintendo Switch 2 and comfy sofa seating so you can play away.
There will also be a dedicated event area with special Pikachu appearances, a family-friendly colouring zone for children to colour various Pokémons, as well as a photo zone and themed photo booth for visitors at the fixed locations for the pop-up Pokémon Truck.

Eager visitors can also grab free souvenirs, a Pokémon Sunvisor and an exclusive Pokémon Pokopia sticker, which are distributed on a while-stocks-last basis. Those who purchase a physical copy of Pokémon Pokopia can also claim an adorable Ditto Smartphone Cleaner Keychain, which doubles as a keychain for your bag and a screen cleaner.
Where to catch the pop-up Pokémon Truck in Malaysia?

The Pokémon Truck will be making stops around several districts throughout the Klang Valley, from 5th March to 4th June, every Tuesday to Thursday from 10am to 10pm. The districts are:
- Cheras
- Kuala Lumpur
- Petaling Jaya
- Shah Alam
- Puchong
- Ampang
- Bukit Jalil
- Kepong
- Subang
- Damansara
Every Friday to Sunday, the truck will be stationed at fixed locations, so visitors will have a chance to enjoy the full pop-up experience, including trying the Pokémon’s latest game and snagging merchandise.
The complete list of fixed locations has yet to be announced, but here are the fixed locations and dates for March:
- Sunway Pyramid, Petaling Jaya: 6th-8th March
- The Exchange TRX, Kuala Lumpur: 13th-15th March
- Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur: 20th-22nd March
- Elmina Lakeside Mall, Shah Alam: 27th-29th March
A Pokémon Truck with games & merch is popping up around Malaysia
