Saudagar Nanas Agrofarm
Most of us will agree that being among nature is just the escape we need from our daily routines. Hence, a new trend of cafes have been popping up recently in Malaysia: farm cafes.
One spot you can visit to bask in nature over good food is Saudagar Nanas Agrofarm. Hiding out in Kajang, this pineapple farm has an in-house cafe with an alfresco dining area and a slew of pineapple-based desserts.

Kajang may be known for its slew of satay spots. But a new haunt among locals in town is Saudagar Nanas Agrofarm, located near Bangi and about a 35-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur city centre.
This plantation on an elevated hill sees stretching rows of low-growing shrubs sprouting pineapples that’re ready to be plucked, savoured, and turned into a dessert at their in-house cafe.
Visitors can also bring home some of the delicious fruit harvested by local farmers. There are racks of MD2 pineapples – a sweet pineapple variation that’s a speciality at Saudagar Nanas – to be found at the farm and available from RM6/kg.
Also available here are Pineapple Juice Cup (RM5) and Pineapple MD Pure Juice (RM8), made with pineapples freshly plucked from the farm too.
If their in-house cafe that overlooks the farm is what you’re looking forward to, there are air-conditioned indoor and alfresco dining areas that’re able to accommodate over 80 patrons at one time.
The cafe tends to attract a crowd of diners during the weekends, so it’s best to come by as early as 7.30am if you’re planning a weekend trip down here.

At the rustic farmhouse cafe, you’ll find an interesting menu of local delights with pineapple added to its ingredients list. For starters, the Karipap Nanas (RM7) is filled with juicy pineapple that mingle nicely with tender chunks of chicken or beef, while the Kopi Nanas (RM6) has a nice and subtle hint of pineapple.
Other must-try desserts are the sweet and tangy Pineapple Ice Cream (RM5) and Pineapple Cheesecake (RM10/slice).
