Skyview Hot Air Balloon in Melaka
There are plenty of sightseeing spots in Melaka City, but there are just a handful of places to enjoy a bird’s eye view of the oldest Malaysian city. What more, from high up in a hot air balloon.
With the debut of Skyview Hot Air Balloon in Melaka on 1st April 2025, locals and out-of-towners alike will get to experience riding in a hot air balloon that floats 200ft above the ground, so passengers can enjoy sweeping panoramic views of the city.

Starting 1st April, Skyview Hot Air Balloon will begin ferrying passengers up, up, and away from Dataran Sejarah in Ayer Keroh, which is just a stone’s throw from the landmark Zoo Melaka. It’ll be Melaka’s first hot air balloon attraction.
The new attraction will operate from 5pm to 11pm on weekdays, extending an hour longer on the weekends. Choose to ride at sunset or during the sparkling night – either pick guarantees major thrills and gorgeous views.

Two hot air balloons will launch on opening day to accommodate passengers. There are plans to expand to six depending on visitor feedback, so you won’t have to fret about long waits.
A ride aboard the Skyview Hot Air Balloon costs RM99 for locals, and RM120 for international guests. Melaka residents will get to enjoy a special rate of RM70 on weekdays.
A new attraction in Melaka
The new attraction in Melaka will launch in conjunction with Visit Melaka, and is expected to be around for 1.5 years as reported by New Straits Times. So, crowds keen on experiencing Melaka from a rare vantage point will want to pencil in a visit once it opens.
