Celebrate ‘May The Fourth’ In KL With MPO’s ‘Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert’, Tickets Start From RM399

Even if you haven’t watched a single Star Wars movie, it’s likely that you’ve heard the iconic catchphrase – ‘May the Force be with you’ – at some point.

For the uninitiated, this phrase is a play on words from the catchphrase from every Star Wars mainline movie.  As such, the date of 4th May is recognised by fans globally as the commemorative day to celebrate the 49-year-old franchise.

There’s nothing quite like experiencing the music of the silver screens, and that’s no exception for the first ever Star Wars movie.

At the Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert in Malaysia, concert-goers will be able to listen to the movie’s music score live, composed by the legendary John Williams performed by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra led by conductor Gerard Salonga.

Fans can expect famous tracks like Star Wars’ main theme, Princess Leia’s theme, and the iconic Cantina Band theme being performed live.

Accompanying the orchestral performance are scenes from the film projected on a huge screen behind the orchestra, so you can fully immerse yourself in the expansive music and movie.

The symphonic performance of Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert is presented by Disney Concerts, which holds symphony orchestras around the world for beloved films like Toy Story, Lion King, and The Muppets Christmas Carol.

The concert in Malaysia will take place on 3rd May at 3pm, and 4th May at 8pm.
