50% off traffic summons till 16th September
Traffic summons happen even to the best of us. If you’ve landed an unfortunate summons, the Malaysian government is offering a 50% discount on traffic summons payments nationwide from 31st August until 16th September 2025, in conjunction with the 68th Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.
Here’s what you need to know about it:
Log in with your MyDigital ID to enjoy the discount
The reduction in traffic summons payment is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN), the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), and MyDigital ID. It was announced to help provide financial relief and encourage Malaysians to adopt the MyDigital ID system, as shared by Jabatan Siasatan Dan Penguatkuasaan Trafik PDRM in a Facebook post on 30th August.
This is because the 50% discount applies exclusively to payments made for summons through the police’s MyBayar app, which is available for Android and iOS users.

To make a payment on MyBayar, you’ll need to register or log in to the app with your MyDigital ID account credentials. Once you’ve logged in, you can check outstanding traffic summonses linked to your MyKad number and proceed to pay the summons amounts with the applied 50% discount.
Just be sure to do so before 16th September, and with your MyDigital ID, to make the most of the discount.
