What to bring and what to leave behind?
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit to Sunway Lagoon, there are a few essentials you’ll want to bring with you.
- First, don’t forget sunscreen — the Malaysian sun can be intense, so slather it on before heading out, and be sure to reapply throughout the day.
- You’ll be diving into the Water Park, so swimwear and a towel are a must. These will help you stay comfortable after a splash in the pool or a fun water ride. Comfortable shoes are also important, as you’ll be doing a lot of walking.
- Staying hydrated is key, so bring a water bottle to refill as you go, especially with all the outdoor activities. Additionally, while there are plenty of places to grab snacks and souvenirs, it’s always helpful to have some cash or a credit card on hand for convenience.
- For your phone, consider a waterproof pouch that you can wear around your neck — keeping it safe from water while still being able to stay connected.
- On the flip side, there are a few things best left behind. Expensive jewellery should stay at home; with all the water and fun, it’s best to avoid losing your valuables.
- Similarly, heavy bags can become a burden, even though lockers are available. To make your day as enjoyable as possible, keep your belongings light and your essentials ready to go.
To make the most of your visit, it’s a good idea to head straight to the popular rides as soon as you arrive – attractions like the Vuvuzela and Surf Beach tend to draw crowds quickly, especially during peak hours.
While queueing, make the most of your time by chatting with friends, planning your next stop, or snapping a few fun moments for your socials – waiting in line doesn’t have to be dull. Since the park is pretty expansive, don’t forget to take regular breaks.
Additionally, be sure to catch the live shows happening throughout the day, from adorable animal performances at the Wildlife Park to action-packed stunt shows at the Amusement Park.
Finally, wind down your day with a relaxing stroll around the park – the scenery is lovely, and there’s always something charming waiting around the corner.
