Christmas decor at Sunway Putra Mall
It’s now December, and the countdown to Christmas has likely begun for many holiday-loving folks. Besides adding festive jams and nostalgic holiday movies to our playlists again, we’re looking forward to being dazzled by sparkly decorations at our malls.
Over at Sunway Putra Mall, you’ll find an enchanted forest-themed Christmas display, and an array of activities lined up from now till 1st January 2023. Here’s what you can expect on a visit to the KL mall in December.
Experience a magical forest at Sunway Putra Mall

A highlight feature at Sunway Putra Mall this festive season is a dazzling 24-feet-tall Christmas tree. Surrounded by pretty pink-and-purple blooms and mushrooms, the installation also makes for a great photo- and video-taking spot that’ll add Christmas cheer to your Instagram and TikTok feeds.
All the decor items here are made of recycled and eco-friendly materials.

The mall’s Christmas decor, Wander Wonder Forest, is the backdrop for jovial entertainment acts too. On the weekends – and 26th December, Monday – at 5pm, you can enjoy different performances such as carolling, flash mobs and even a Forest Fairy Magical Dance Show.

Those with kiddos will also have a ton of fun with the character walkabouts. Catch Santa and Santarina in the flesh as they give out free candy to shoppers. There will be Christmas fairies, as well, with whom you can snap photos.

The mall even has an interactive wishing pond where you can leave a message for your loved ones as a surprise. Simply scan a QR code, write a meaningful wish and watch it show up on the wishing pond or upload it to your social media pages. Then, play the Wondrous AR game and stand to win shopping vouchers.
Workshops & a festive bazaar for special keepsakes

For some DIY keepsakes, the mall is hosting free tote bag, wreath-making and Christmas bauble workshops on the weekends too. Join a craft workshop to bring home a meaningful memento, or simply try making homemade Christmas decorations.
The workshops take place over two sessions from 2pm-6pm, on the following dates:
- Tote Bag Painting: 10th & 18th December
- Wreath Making: 3rd, 11th & 24th December
- Christmas Bauble: 4th, 17th & 25th December

A bazaar at the mall’s Main Concourse will also help kickstart your Christmas gift shopping, with vendors such as Smart Master, Poney and Toy World set to join the Christmas market.
