The Good Project fundraising in Hin Bus Depot, Penang
‘Tis the season to eat well and do good. This December, something extra special is being served up at Penang’s Hin Bus Depot, as something of a festive fundraiser.
Organised by Good Friends Club, The Good Project is bringing together a lineup of leading restaurants, cocktail bars, farmers, and producers from Penang and Kuala Lumpur for a one-day fundraising initiative in support of a good cause.

They say “good friends never bojio”, and so the Good Friends Club – one of Penang’s most renowned neighbourhood bars – is inviting all to join in on their community-driven food and beverage collaboration, The Good Project.

Spanning COEX and Hin Bus Depot, the event is a collective fundraising effort supported by the local F&B communities, alongside the host venue, with the aim of rallying local foodies and visiting tourists alike. The slew of participating restaurants and bars includes Restaurant Au Jardin, Biso, Gen, and Rembar from Penang, as well as KL’s Fifty Tales, Bidou, Cabinet 8, and Bar Trigona.

All profits from participating bars, along with a portion of restaurant proceeds, will be donated to House of Hope Penang, with an ambitious collective fundraising goal of RM15,000 to support low-income families, children, and youth through food aid, education, and mentorship programmes.
The Good Project will be taking over COEX and Hin Bus Depot on 21st December 2025, so it’ll be a meaningful and delicious way to give back during the most generous time of the year.
