Vintage Kissa in Kota Damansara

Modern life has its perks, but if we’re being honest, it can often be overwhelming with the endless hustle, the digital noise, and the rush of it all. That’s when a slow evening comes into play – one with the crackle of a vinyl record spinning in the background.

Enter Vintage Kissa, an audio cafe tucked away in PJ’s Kota Damansara, where music lovers and coffee enthusiasts alike can soak in the golden era of sound over freshly brewed coffee.

Just a stone’s throw from Surian MRT station, Vintage Kissa is the passion project of a husband-and-wife duo with a deep love for vintage hi-fi collections.

The moment you step inside the cafe, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that drips with nostalgia – walls adorned with retro posters; shelves lined with LPs, cassettes, and CDs; and the warm glow of old-school amplifiers illuminating in the background.

With a playlist that swings from The Platters to Shelby Lynne, Rolling Stones to ABBA, this audio cafe is a tribute to the golden days of the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s, where jazz, rock ‘n’ roll, and soulful ballads ruled the airwaves.

There are two sections to explore at Vintage Kissa: the first is the cafe itself, where you can indulge in handcrafted treats and beverages, made from scratch with a touch of homey goodness.

Their handmade croffles are signatures and available in indulgent flavours such as Biscoff (RM15) and Matcha (RM15). For something more filling, tuck into the hearty Chicken Bolognese spaghetti (RM18.90) or the wholesome Chicken Chop Salad (RM23). Pair your meal with a perfectly brewed Americano (RM10) or sip on a bottle of vibrant, tangy Kombucha (RM15) for something refreshing.

The second section is where the magic happens. Here, you’ll find a treasure trove of vinyl records featuring everything from the greatest retro hits to timeless Chinese classics for a major throwback moment.

This exclusive listening space opens on the weekends, with entry granted through a minimum cafe purchase of RM30. And for those who fancy a laid-back evening, craft beers flow from 6pm onwards, perfect for unwinding with a drink in hand as the smooth melodies set the tone.
