The best water parks in Malaysia

We can all probably recall fond memories of heading to a water park, and the laughter mingling with splashes and thrills that the experience offers. Beyond just fun and slippery rides, these aquatic playgrounds also make for the perfect antidotes to the unrelenting Malaysian heat.

If you’re looking for a splash-tacular time with family and friends, here are 11 water parks in Malaysia that you can visit to cool off come those warmer months.

What you should know before visiting a water park in Malaysia

Before you begin splashing away at a water park in Malaysia, there are a couple of things to take note of like dress code and rentals.

Most water parks in the country require visitors to wear appropriate swimsuits and swim trunks designed for water-based activities. As for footwear, flip-flops and sandals are typically acceptable along with water shoes. You can bring along a change of clothes, as well as other water park essentials like water- and sweat-proof sunscreen and towels.

Water parks will typically have rental lockers and cabanas for visitors to store all their personal belongings too.

As for tickets, you’ll find concession fees for children and senior citizens. Lower prices for the kiddos are typically based on an age range or height limit, while senior citizens are classified as those over 60 years old. Some water parks offer free admission for the elderly and also toddlers.
