Malaysian Woman Cries After First Day At Work Because Of “Two-Faced People”, Netizens Empathise With Her

Woman cries after first day at work due to toxic co-workers

In today’s ever-changing world, more and more young people are saying no to toxic work cultures that are quite openly practised in Asian countries. A lot of us may have had an experience or two being a part of a certain company that treats its staff poorly, has lots of office politics and unprofessional behaviours among colleagues.

Earlier this week, a Malaysian woman has gathered quite the attention on TikTok for a viral video of herself crying after the first day at work, because of “two-faced people” and office politics.

Earlier this week, netizen @nurisdut posted a video of herself crying after her first day at work. In the brief caption of the video, she wrote that she’s crying because of her high levels of anxiety and that she has to get used to “two-faced people” and office politics at work.

The short clip is accompanied by a background music and shots of the woman crying and wiping off her tears. The viral video has garnered more than 200,000 views, 27,000 likes and over 1,600 comments on TikTok at the time of writing.

The exact date of the video, however, is not known. But based on the comments people left in the video, it appears that the woman must have posted it sometime this week.

Netizens empathise with woman by sharing their experience at work

Malaysians took to the comments section to empathise with the woman in the video, sharing words of encouragement and their experience having went through similar situations in the past.

Another netizen shared their previous work experience. They said, “I used to cry every day on my way back home from work. I don’t know how to say this, but I didn’t feel happy at all working there. Not even a week before I changed job.”

Meanwhile, another netizen consoled the woman in the video by saying that she’s a nice person who should continue to be that way. “Lots of people need you, God bless,” they wrote, in hopes of making her feel better.

We truly feel for what this woman is going through at this moment and we are sorry that she had to put up with difficult people on the first day of work. But one should not have to tolerate being in a toxic work environment, so we hope that she can find a company with a progressive office culture to work at in the future. Till then, keep fighting, sis!
