Lee Zii Jia Set To Release Original Song, ‘Ten Thousand Emotions, In Portrait'

Lee Zii Jia is known for his skills on the badminton court, recently shown by his impressive run at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. But a lesser-known fact about the badminton player that’s recently cropped up among supporters of the shuttler is his singing chops seen in song cover videos shared on his social media pages.

Following videos of his hobbies off the court going viral online, Lee is said to be releasing an original song called Ten Thousand Emotions, In Portrait. The song’s lyrics are said to be about Lee’s highs and lows in his journey, while he sings and plays the guitar.

Malaysian badminton player set to release new song

Lee shared in multiple interviews that he loves music and enjoys singing when he’s not training as a badminton player. It shows with the various videos that can be viewed on his Instagram and Douyin social media accounts, where he can be seen playing the guitar and singing along to familiar tunes.

Following K-pop fans and supporters of Lee coming up with a fandom name and unofficial merchandise for him, Lee will be releasing an original song, to further show off his other talents.

According to a report by Malay Mail on 4th August 2021, the song will be written and produced in part by Lee and Oppo Malaysia. Titled Ten Thousand Emotions, In Portrait, it will convey Lee’s roller-coaster ride of emotions felt during his life and career through his singing, guitar playing, and the song’s lyrics.

The song is rumoured to be released alongside Oppo’s new phone series, Reno6, which bears the tagline “Every Emotion, In Portrait”. Lee is said to be working with the technology brand known for its phones and more, and is now “part of the Oppo family”, as reported by Lifestyle Asia.

A music video for the song is set to be released as well, alongside the launch of Reno6 today, 5th August.

However, Oppo Malaysia has yet to make an official announcement about the partnership, and song release with Lee, as well as the release date, on their social media pages.
