Utama Prawning in Petaling Jaya

Living in the city can be overwhelming, so it’s no wonder that many of us are seeking out a chill pastime that doesn’t involve heading to a crowded mall or cafe. A laidback activity that lets you spend quality time with friends and indulge in a good meal at the same time is prawning.

Over at Utama Prawning, you can catch your own seafood and relish them after prawning. The prawning centre is conveniently located just a stone’s throw from 1 Utama Shopping Mall, and is just next to an urban farm where you can try your hand at harvesting fresh vegetables.

Utama Prawning is part of Utama Farm, formerly known as Fresh Growcer and previously located on the rooftop of 1 Utama. They now have an expansive 1.6-acre space just next to the mall, which hosts a variety of family-friendly activities including prawning, farming, and dining.

To catch your own prawns and eat them too, you’ll want to check out the prawning centre here that has two sheltered ponds. Visitors can try fishing for giant freshwater prawns or tiger prawns in either ponds, and enjoy them at a farm-to-table steamboat restaurant also situated within the farm.
