Yogiyo In KL Serves Froyo With Unlimited Toppings, Drizzled With Pistachio Sauce Flowing Straight Out Of A Tap

Yogiyo at The Exchange TRX

While ice cream is undeniably delicious, we often become super calculative when dealing with it. We ponder over the calories and sugar content in each scoop of ice cream, and eventually ask ourselves, “How many grams are there in a scoop?”

If you’re tired of doing the math, check out Yogiyo at the TRX mall. This Inside Scoop spinoff brand serves frozen yoghurt made with fresh milk and live cultures, without artificial colourings and preservatives.

Yet, their froyo with unlimited toppings is what caught netizens’ attention. For that, we visited the shop to bring you this review.

Frozen yoghurt with unlimited toppings

Yogiyo resembles nothing of Inside Scoop – their theme colour is orange instead of yellow like the latter.

They also have their own mascot: a huge blob-like white figure with its tongue sticking out mischievously. It reminded us of the Michelin Man.

On the countertop lies around 33 options of toppings, including nut streusels, popping pearls, fruits, chocolate chips, and cereals. They are to be served over the shop’s freshly made froyo, which is available in two flavours: Original and Strawberry.

pistachio sauce is drizzled onto a cup of froyo stuffed with toppings such as fruits, popping pearls, etc.

A Small Cup (RM14.90) comes with only one topping. But when you order a Medium (RM18.90) or a Large (RM21.90), you can add as many different toppings as you want.

All cup sizes allow only one sauce to be added. There are various sauce flavours to pick, such as mango, white chocolate, biscoff, and pistachio.

Here’s our verdict

We thought we could fit all 30 toppings into our medium cup of original froyo, but that turned out to be an overambitious idea. We only managed to stuff the cup with 10 items, including mango cubes, mini brownies, roasted almonds, and cereals.

For sauce, we chose the pistachio flavour. It was flowing straight out of a tap – a scene too therapeutic and tempting to be ignored.

The froyo was smooth and creamy with a satisfying milky taste. Though, we should have chosen more fruit toppings – like green grapes and strawberries – instead of cereals and chocolate chips, as the tanginess of the froyo wasn’t very strong.

The pistachio sauce, on the other hand, was a good call. Its nuttiness was just the right counterbalance to the sweet toppings.

The froyo venture of Inside Scoop holds a quality just as good as its ice cream business. The unlimited toppings offering, in particular, makes the dessert even more enticing.

That being said, if you’re looking for healthy alternatives to ice cream, Yogiyo can easily be your new favourite place.
