Some curl up with a book to unwind, and then there are those of us who prefer chasing that rush of adrenaline when we’re not grinding at our desks.
Beyond the thrills that a roller coaster offers, there’s always go-karting. And more than that, there’s LYL International Karting Circuit in Kajang to turn to. It’s the longest go-kart circuit in Malaysia and the largest karting circuit in Asia. Here, you can press the pedal to the metal and legally speed with your pals on beginner- and kid-friendly single or dual karts.
What to expect at LYL International Karting Circuit
LYL International Karting Circuit opened in 2024, inside Monkeys Canopy Resort in Kajang. The go-kart spot has been attracting speed-chasers near and far, as it boasts the longest track in Malaysia yet and is not too far from KL – it’s an approximate 45-minute drive from the city.

The circuit here stretches 1.5km – roughly 1,500m – with a total of 23 corners that seasoned racers and newcomers can zoom around on in diesel-powered karts. The track comprises hairpin turns and sweeping bends, along with competitive chicanes and high-speed straights.

Go-karters will also get to speed across a gravity-defying flyover that’ll add an extra layer of thrill to races here. Each go-karting session lasts 10 minutes, with the registration process and a safety briefing expected to take 15-20 minutes of your time.
What karts does LYL International Karting Circuit have?
At LYL Circuit, you can choose between single and dual go-karts: the Sodikart 270cc, Sodikart 390cc, and Sodikart 2 Drive. The first is a beginner-friendly go-kart, while the second allows for slightly higher speeds with its 13-horsepower engine.
As the latter lets you unleash your inner speed demon, there are several requirements to ride this. You have to be at least 17 years old, and have a valid racing license or have raced on the 270cc for 1 minute, 25 seconds.
If you’re coming along with the kiddos or just prefer to be cruising alongside bestie or bae, the 2 Drive is a two-seater kart that is larger in size, but still able to achieve fast speeds.

No driver’s license or prior experience is required to operate a kart here, but drivers must be 10 years old and above, or 140cm and above. If you’re going for the dual kart, the requirement for this is lowered to 6 years and over, as long as the driver is accompanied by another driver who is 18 years old and above.
