Pizza Duo at The Campus, Ampang
If you’re a pizza lover and have been to Bamboo Hills, chances are you’ve already heard of Pizza Duo. And if you haven’t, it’s only a matter of time before it becomes your new favourite joint. Known for serving a slice of Italy on a plate, this homegrown favourite has now opened its second outlet at The Campus in Ampang – and with it comes a new menu that is every bit as indulgent as it is inspired.
Founded by a husband-and-wife duo

Operating since 2022, Pizza Duo is the creation of husband and wife Mark Lee and Aina Ghani. What started as a birthday trip through Italy’s pizza capitals turned into a love story that now lives on as a proudly Malaysian pizzeria.
Their journey took them from dining across Italy to training with master pizzaiolos in Naples, where they learned the precision behind every stretch, rise, and bake. The result was brought to life at Bamboo Hills and has now expanded into a full dining experience with a flagship outlet at The Campus.

Pork- and alcohol-free, this new pizzeria is a little retro and Italian in spirit. With long tables and an open view of the kitchen, it feels like the kind of place where you stay long after the last slice just to soak in the warmth. Stealing the spotlight are two handcrafted Stefano Ferrara ovens from Naples, making Pizza Duo the first pizzeria in Malaysia to own them. Painstakingly built by Italian artisans, these ovens are reknowned for balancing heat to create that soft yet crispy crust everyone loves.
Aina shared with TheSmartLocal Malaysia, “It was not easy to bring them over, but we persisted because this is the heart of our passion“.
A celebration of Italian comfort food

While we might not be able to fly to Italy just yet, Pizza Duo’s new Tutto menu brings a taste of it right here. The playful spread of Italian comfort dishes reflects the founders’ love for travel and proves that this pizzeria is so much more than just its pizzas.
The star of the show is Shroomami (RM72), a crowd favourite loaded with portobello mushrooms, ricotta, parmigiano fondue, and truffle salsa. It is earthy and indulgent enough to have you reaching for seconds.

For something classic, the Margherita 3.0 (RM44) takes tradition to new heights with San Marzano tomatoes, semi-dried cherry tomatoes, Parmigiano Reggiano, and a drizzle of basil oil, offering both comfort and nostalgia on one plate.

Beyond pizzas, the Spicy Eggplant Caponata with Burrata (RM38) combines heat and creaminess in one scoop. At the same time, the the Wagyu Sirloin with Orzo (RM72) is pure comfort with juicy, tender beef that melts into buttery orzo for a dish that stays on your mind long after the last bite.

Seafood lovers will fall for the Spicy Crab Fettuccine (RM46), a flirtatious toss of sweet crab meat in a house made spicy tomato passata, served in rustic Italian bowls that practically beg for seconds.

And if you are craving something rich, the Spiced Duck Rigatoni (RM38) delivers with duck chorizo mince, creamy Rosa sauce, and a swirl of stracciatella from Naples for a little taste of la dolce vita.
