Bon Odori is a traditional Japanese festival that originates from the Obon season, a period dedicated to honouring the spirits of ancestors. Over the years, this celebration has evolved into a cultural event featuring communal dances and festive gatherings that bring people together.

Visitors can expect energetic Bon Odori dance performances accompanied by traditional taiko drums and a wide selection of Japanese street food and snacks.

Following past festivals, many attendees also embrace the occasion by dressing in yukata and other traditional Japanese attire, creating a festive atmosphere reminiscent of summer festivals in Japan.

Beyond the entertainment, this festival serves as a platform for cultural appreciation and exchange, allowing Malaysians and international visitors to learn more about Japanese traditions while celebrating multicultural harmony in Selangor.
