Attack on Titan: The Final Exhibition in KL


Malaysia has hosted several exhibitions dedicated to cult-favourite anime and manga series in recent years. The ones for Demon Slayer and Junji Ito are just some of them that had loyal followers in a frenzy.

Now, an Attack on Titan: The Final Exhibition based on the popular manga will open at Fahrenheit88 in Kuala Lumpur from 25th April to 21st July 2024.

Here’s what we know about the exhibition:

Attack on Titan: Final Exhibition made its debut in Japan before making stops overseas in Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia.

On 25th April, the exhibition made its way to Malaysia with a stop in Kuala Lumpur, much to the excitement of local fans who have been following the globally acclaimed manga by artist Hajime Isayama.

At the Malaysia exhibition, fans will join protagonist Eren Yeager and the Survey Corps as they battle the monstrous titans in a dystopian future. The exhibition is divided into eight stations, with a bulk of them covering 11 years of the Attack on Titan‘s journey through displayed early sketches, illustrations, and unreleased drafts done by Isayama.

The exhibition is located on the 2nd floor of Fahrenheit88, and opens from 10am-10pm with the last entry of the day at 9pm. Tickets are priced RM55/pax, and can be secured online at Ticket2U or Incutix.

Your journey to the world of the Attack on Titan will begin at Fahrenheit88’s ground floor. Here, you can spot a huge sculpture of Titan Eren appearing to emerge from the ground of mall. Needless to say, this is popular spot for photos.

Inside the exhibition space, on the 2nd floor of the mall, a total of 180 artworks are displayed, some of which are archival sketches that have not been shown to the public before. Fans can learn more about the drawings and Isayama’s creative process through a behind-the-scenes interview with him that’ll be screening at a station in the exhibition.

There’s also a Theatre station, where visitors can watch iconic battle scenes from the manga on a huge screen.

Other highlights at the Attack on Titan exhibition in KL include a detailed Mini Town Diorama of Eren’s hometown, Shiganshina, being infiltrated by miniature Titans. As for photo ops, there are life-sized statues of Titans and fan-favourite members of the Survey Corps, Eren and Captain Levi Ackerman.

A standout as well is the installation of the Colossal Titan appearing to break down the walls of Paradis.

There’s also a cafe at the exhibition that serves drinks (from RM13) such as Cold Brew and a manga-inspired Wall Titan – Hawthorn Juice, as well as a Survey Corps’ Meal Set (RM21).

Malaysian fans of Attack on Titan have likely been waiting for to explore the popular manga’s dystopian world IRL after it opened in neighbouring Singapore. So lock in a date and make your way to the exhibition to discover the world of the Titans – shinzou wo sasageyo.
