BTS collabs with Oreo for hotteok-inspired cookie
Picture a purple-coloured Oreo cookie that tastes like hotteok, a pan-fried Korean street food pancake with sugar syrup inside. It can mean only one thing: a new Oreo variety collaboration with Korean supergroup BTS, who are no strangers to colouring cities in their signature purple.
To celebrate the new flavour and collaboration launch in Malaysia, Oreo is holding a pop-up for fans – or anyone curious about the Korean-inspired cookie flavour, for that matter – from 8th to 14th June 2026 at Sunway Pyramid.
What is Oreo x BTS?
In case you haven’t heard yet, Oreo is no stranger to collaborating with artists on limited-edition cookie flavours, with past collabs including Lady Gaga and Selena Gomez.

In May 2026, the brand announced that they had teamed up with BTS for a novelty flavour in a series of videos posted on their social media channels. While initially spotted only at local pharmacies in the US, the collaboration is going global and launching in over 80 countries from 8th June, including Malaysia.

The limited edition Oreo x BTS cookie features a white creme centre that takes on a hotteok brown sugar flavour. Instead of the trademark dark wafer, the cookie is coloured purple and features 13 embossments designed by the group and inspired by their loyal fanbase, ARMY.
Each cookie features the names of the seven members, motifs like the group’s official lightstick, and messages that BTS have for their fans, and is randomly stuffed into a special Oreo x BTS packaging.
The cookies will be around for a limited time, and available for presale on 2nd June on Mondelez’s official Shopee store before they hit the shelves of local retailers.
Pop-up in Malaysia with freebies & photo booth
For ARMY in Singapore and Malaysia, the cookie launches alongside a special pop-up so fans can walk home with more than just the cookies in hand. The Malaysian edition opens from 8th to 14th June, at the Blue Concourse in Sunway Pyramid. And there’s plenty to do here to show off your love for the cookies and the group.
Besides sampling the new hotteok Oreo or classic Oreo – both with BTS designs – from staff walking around the pop-up space, you can buy packs of the BTS Oreo straight off the shelves here and claim freebies. Spend RM10 to get a sticker sheet that comes in two BTS-inspired designs, or RM30 to get an Oreo plate and RM50 for an apron.
Once you’ve got your haul, it’s time to show them off by taking them to the photo spots around the pop-up for a shot. There’s the centrepiece – a huge purple Oreo cookie with the words BTS loves Oreo in neon. On the right, there’s a photo of the 7 members and posters of motifs from the cookie collaboration.
Fans can also head to a photo booth here, as long as they purchase any cookie from the pop-up, to strike a pose and have the photo printed on a special BTS Oreo frame.
Oreo teams up with BTS for hotteok-flavoured cookies
If you need an extra reason to snack on Oreo cookies, consider this your excuse. With 13 designs designed by BTS themselves in every pack, each twist, dunk, and lick of an Oreo cookie will hit different.
