Causeway Link Rolls Out Premium Express Buses From JB To KL, With Plush Seats & Optional Neck Massagers

There are several ways to get from Johor Bahru to Kuala Lumpur, but bus rides remain a top choice for affordable travel without much hassle. If you’d like to splurge a little more on comfortable trips between the states, there’s a new atas bus service to opt for: Causeway Link Express Premium.

The first-class express bus service operates from JB’s KSL City Mall to central destinations in KL – Berjaya Times Square, NU Sentral, and Bukit Bintang – and vice versa. In April 2025, the service will also cover 1 Utama Shopping Mall in Petaling Jaya.

Causeway Link’s new luxury express bus from JB to KL launched on 13th March 2025. The direct service aims to ease the travel woes of long-distance travellers and commuters, by offering a first-class travel option with plush reclining seats, ample leg room, and free onboard Wi-Fi.

Other perks include complimentary Julie’s biscuits and bottled water to keep hunger pangs at bay, and USB and Type C charging ports to keep devices charged, during the trip. You can opt for extra cushy add-ons like neck massagers by ZERO too when you book your bus ticket online.

The buses come in 22- and 25-seater configurations, instead of the usual 44-45-seater buses of the Causeway Link Classic service, with each fleet fitted with curtains and temperature control to ensure the Malaysian heat doesn’t damper your journey.

We broke down the schedule for trips from KSL City Mall to KL:

The bus service costs RM69.90 per passenger. To celebrate its launch, Causeway Link is offering a 50% off discount for your next purchase when you book a bus ticket from 13th to 31st March.

Additional destination and launch discounts


This new service will make travel between JB and KL a lot more convenient and enjoyable. The addition of 1 Utama Shopping Mall as a destination in April, and plans to extend the service into Singapore in 2025, will further enhance the travel options available to passengers.
